SYNOPSIS “Just a Middle Class Guy Waxing Poetic” is the every-man’s book which encourages every man to do something positive to make his life more meaningful. Learn how to be inspired, successful and happy. BE INSPIRED. Feel good about yourself and take pride in doing something, or saying something, or even thinking something and then acting on it. BE SUCCESSFUL. Don't be concerned with what anyone else thinks about you or your work, just know that it defines your inner-self and that makes you uniquely successful. BE HAPPY. Your happiness can be derived by taking a lesson or a thought or just an idea from "Just a Middle Class Guy Waxing Poetic" and making it your own.

The poems in this collection are written by an amateur poet over several years as a hobby. They include both metered poems which follow the rules of the prosody as well as free form poems. The subject matters include: devotional poems, love songs, philosophical musings, moral utterances, descriptions of seasons and other miscellaneous topics.

To celebrate all the exciting, life-enhancing opportunities to engage with the arts that the new Fort Ben Cultural Campus provides, we have created the first issue of Laureate: The Literary Journal of Arts for Lawrence. In this issue, nineteen Indiana poets have contributed work exploring the theme: Grand Openings, including poetry related to theater, opera, dance, painting, and writing, as well as the ways heart, mind, and spirit can be opened. All proceeds from the purchase of this book are donated to Arts for Lawrence.

This book was born out of a lot of dark valley experiences I went through with the Lord. Even as a light shining out of a dark place, the presence of Yeshua came in such a way, that caused me to start writing. As I would talk to the Lord, He would minister to me through my poetry writings. I desire to share with others what the Lord has ministered to me. The spiritual poetry writings in this book are done using the Hebraic names of God. Instead of Jesus, Yeshua is used. Likewise rather than the generic title Lord, His Hebrew name Yehovah is used.
